I am joining Lisa-Jo at The Gypsy Mama

She gave a really fun challenge and prompt for today and I just had to join!

The prompt was to pick a photo from your camera and then put it into words. That moment, that emotion, that experience. In no more than 5 minutes.

So, I picked this picture and set the timer for 5 minutes and here is what came…

Christmas '10 Before After During 263

Start.

She, dear auntie and sister of mama gone Home.

She holds the next generation of her namesake’s life and laughs at how times change.

The marvel has taken her back many decades over the course of the 15 hour visit that included night sleep.

She sees the humor of little Susie all punchy and sassy and all her own and remembers a sister she new from wee babe.

She catches herself in smiles and exclaims, ‘She is so much like my sister, Susie, your mama!’

And we laugh as she gathers little pudgies on her knee.

Reminders of time passed in a Disney princess cell phone that would not have been a toy for the first Susie.

She is startled to present as little Susie new jabbers and exclaims in phlegmatic goofiness the wonders of buttons that beep and lives out of delight within.

Little Susie is only being who she is and when we look deep into her eyes there is a great mystery and wonder that they capture our hearts as her mor mor once did.

Stop.
